⁣Had a great side conversation with President Hakainde Hichilema where we spoke about the importance of deepening the strategic partnership between Botswana and Zambia.

In 2023, Zambia imported $13.4M worth of salt, $10.8M of that from Botswana. This trade dynamic highlights the growing cooperation between our two nations, especially in key sectors like agriculture and food security. It also reflects the broader momentum of intra-African trade under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), as more countries turn to one another to meet their needs and drive sustainable development from within the continent.
