⁣Today, we convened for the 40th HATAB Annual Conference in our warm and welcoming town of Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world’s most breathtaking natural wonders.

Held under the theme “Botswana Tourism: Exploring The Conditions For Growth,” the conference brought together tourism players, innovators, and stakeholders to shape the future of the sector.

In delivering the keynote address, I reaffirmed tourism as a national priority sector and reiterated government’s strong commitment to investing in infrastructure, transport, connectivity, and essential services.

Tourism plays a critical role in job creation, economic diversification, and community development and it is important that Botswana is always prepared to welcome the world. Our visitors can rest assured, we are ready.
