⁣As government and civil society, we are not immune to the threat of money laundering. It is a sobering reality that some institutions established to combat this very crime have, at times, become complicit in perpetuating it. We must therefore subject ourselves to rigorous scrutiny, strengthen our regulatory frameworks, and enforce stringent penalties to eliminate any opportunities for money laundering.
