We conclude our visit to Oman with great optimism and renewed commitment.
Our engagements have strengthened the bonds between our two nations, culminating in the signing of key cooperation agreements. We have identified strategic sectors such as mining, energy, and other areas of mutual interest where collaboration will drive sustainable growth, enhance trade, create employment opportunities, and promote technological exchange.
These partnerships will not only bolster our respective economies but also deepen our shared vision for prosperity and development.
Today we are moving to UAE, in pursuit for strategic relations.

Bonno National Housing Programme
Yesterday in Palapye, the Bonno National Housing Programme was officially launched, a decisive step toward delivering 61,000 quality homes across all 61 constituencies.
This marks a shift from the traditional National Development Plan to a focused, results-driven National Transformation Plan, with a clear emphasis on real, tangible change for Batswana.
Access to housing is not a privilege it is a right. The Bonno Programme restores that right, offering not just shelter, but dignity, hope, and opportunity.

Recently, I was honored to be part of President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko's delegation, where we participated at the 2nd Session of the Namibia–Botswana Bi-National Commission (BNC), co-chaired by President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, and Namibian President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.
During the Bi-National, we signed 8 Memorandum of Understandings on Cooperation in various fields including energy resources; we further agreed on collaboration on natural resource management, beneficiation and the diamond sector.
The call to action from our Heads of States is clear; facilitate, invest, innovate and develop.

As government and civil society, we are not immune to the threat of money laundering. It is a sobering reality that some institutions established to combat this very crime have, at times, become complicit in perpetuating it. We must therefore subject ourselves to rigorous scrutiny, strengthen our regulatory frameworks, and enforce stringent penalties to eliminate any opportunities for money laundering.
