Blood Parliament - BBC Africa Eye Documentary
On June 25th 2024, blood was spilt at Kenya’s parliament. That day, thousands of protestors headed there to stop the 2024 finance bill being passed into law. En-route they were met with tear gas, truncheons, and even gunfire. When they got there, and stormed the legislature, some of that gunfire turned lethal. At least three people were killed: students, shopkeepers, and Sunday school teachers. Since then, no one has been held to account for their deaths. Now, using open-source intelligence (OSINT) and forensic techniques, #bbcafricaeye can expose the men who spilled blood on the grounds of Kenya’s parliament.

We conclude our visit to Oman with great optimism and renewed commitment.
Our engagements have strengthened the bonds between our two nations, culminating in the signing of key cooperation agreements. We have identified strategic sectors such as mining, energy, and other areas of mutual interest where collaboration will drive sustainable growth, enhance trade, create employment opportunities, and promote technological exchange.
These partnerships will not only bolster our respective economies but also deepen our shared vision for prosperity and development.
Today we are moving to UAE, in pursuit for strategic relations.

Dialogue with Leaders of State-Owned Enterprises
Today I met with leaders of State-Owned Enterprises, vital arms of the government’s commercial machinery to align on national priorities and a renewed focus on delivery.
I announced the launch of a National Transformation Programme, to be completed in 12 weeks. Unlike the National Development Plan, this initiative will focus on actionable projects with clear output goals, developed through broad stakeholder engagement.
A Project Delivery Unit has been established in the Office of the President to ensure timely execution and accountability.
With a results-driven mindset, our SOEs can help drive Botswana’s transformation.
